1. Selecting a Register

First open the Subjects register from the menu.

You can also open the register using the function key 017461.bmp, or by clicking the shorcut; icon, set in the taskbar.

2. Find Subjects (Ctrl + S)

Using function for finding subjects using custom criteria or set of criteria makes search for subjects recorded in the Subjects register easier. Use key combination Ctrl+S.

Special feature of this functions for finding subjects is that you need not use wildcard character "%" (see topic Wildcard Characters) for general search.
Fields from the Subjects register are used as criteria fields.

SEARCH CRITERIA

Check Auto-Refresh checkbox for on-the-fly updating of the list after changing criteria. If you leave it unchecked, the entered criteria will only be applied after you move to the next field.

 

Having launched the function for finding subjects using set criteria move to any line in the Subjects register and click Select & Close. By doing this the selected subejct is transferred to the selected form. Select a subject by double-clicking the selected line or by using the following 46809.gif46678.gif key combination.

 

Enter any of the following criteria:

 

Subject
Enter any number of characters for subject's name.
Address
Enter any number of characters for subject's address.
Postal Area
Enter any number of characters for postal area code.
Tax No.
Enter any number of characters for subject's tax ID number.
City Enter any number of characters for city in the address.
Name Enter any number of characters in Name 2 field.

 

RESTRICTIVE CRITERIA

Here you can enter additional restrictive criteria. Use either one or both criteria.

 

This way you can find all items beginning with the letter A:
 

 

(field from the Subjects register)
To select restrictive criteria click the arrow icon to for the dropdown to appear:
 
(Operators)
Select an operator to be used in the expression considred in the selected field from the Subjects register. With text fields only the equal sign (=) can be used:
 
(expression in the selected field of the Subjects register)
Enter the expression used in search. You can use wildcard characters in expression:
 

LIST OF SUBJECTS MATCHING the SELECTED CRITERIA

An overview (list) of subjects matching the criteria can be modified in search parameters by using authorizations in order to meet the requirements of individual users or user groups. The following data can be observed in subjects overview:

 

Subject
Displays a subject's short name from the Subjects register.
Name
Displays a subject's full name from the Subjects register.
Address
Displays the subject's address.
Postal Area
The corresponding postal area code of the subject.
City
Location of the post.
Tax No.
The subject's tax number.
