1. Selecting a Register
First open the Subjects register from the menu.

You can also open the register using the function key
, or by clicking the shorcut; icon, set in the taskbar.

2. Transfer
Select
from the wizards menu
. It opens a window allowsing to transfer records across all databases from one subject to the other automatically. Thus all data of one subject are copied to another one.
It is recommended that you use it whenever you find that a subject has two or more overlapping IDs causing errors to occur in overviews or reports of subject accounts. Of course you cannot delete any subject as long it appears in any document from database. First you have to perform data transfer.
It is wise that you select ID from lookup table which can be opened clicking
.
An error is returned if ID does not exist in the register.
To transfer data from one subject to another in the Subjects register you have to select:
Subject From or name of the subject from which you want to transfer (which you want to terminate) and Subject To or name of the subject to which you want to transfer posts (which you want to keep).
Click
to launch data transfer from one ID to another. You have to confirm the operation (see
Do you really want to transfer data?). After the operation has finished, the following notification is returned (see
Data transfer complete!).
In case of duplicated records existing in the register, you have a choice of either keeping the records in:

- source record
- target record
 |
Contacts table - The function for transferring records from ID to another ID transfers all contacts also. |
 |
The process cannot be reversed. You cannot undo data transfer. |
 |
Subject ID is not deleted after transferring it. To do this click
in
taskbar. |
 |
You will not be able to delete subject if documents are linked to it! An
error will be returned and you can view databases where the subject is recorded. This also cannot be undone! |
