Authorizations for Work records (in PANTHEON)

The view of employee data in Work records and My records depends on different authorizations. These can be set for three different views:
- Only personal data of the logged-in user,
- Personal data and data of subordinate employees,
- All employees’ data.
|
1. The employee/logged-in user only sees their own personal data
If you want to set a PANTHEON Web user to have authorizations on the level Read/Write/Delete only for their own data – so they can enter and see only their Work records, you need to make the following settings in the PANTHEON database on the user level:
- In Administration Panel | Users and Groups | <AD/Username> | Security | Datalab Applications | Datalab PANTHEON Web | PAW – Employees | PAW – Employees – Only own data, add Read authorizations;
- In Administration Panel | Users and Groups | <AD/Username> | Security | Datalab Applications | Datalab PANTHEON Web | PAW – Work Records, add Write authorizations.
Upon login to PANTHEON Web Light, the user will only see these two modules: Employees and Work records:

In the Employees module, the user will only see their own basic personal data in read-only format, so the data cannot be changed.
In the Work records module, the user will see the My records tab with the timer and the list of their own work obligations. The Search engine, too, only shows the user’s own name and no other data.
2. The employee/logged-in user sees own personal data and the data of their subordinates
If you want to set a PANTHEON Web user to have authorizations to see their own Work records data and the data of their subordinate employees, you need to make the following settings in the PANTHEON database on the user level (first two are the same as above):
- In Administration Panel | Users and Groups | <AD/Username> | Security | Datalab Applications | Datalab PANTHEON Web | PAW – Employees | PAW – Employees – Only own data, add Read authorizations;
- In Administration Panel | Users and Groups | <AD/Username> | Security | Datalab Applications | Datalab PANTHEON Web | PAW – Work Records, add Write authorizations;
- In Administration Panel | Users and Groups | <AD/Username> | Personal settings | Miscellaneous, in the Superiors and Employees whom He or She is Superior section below, enable the checkbox Employee Files – this enables that the superior can see the data of their subordinates.
In the Work records module, the user will see the My records tab with the timer and the list of their own work obligations. The Search engine, however, will enable also showing the data of their subordinates.
3. The employee/logged-in user has access to all employees’ data
For the setting intended for human resources personnel and for those in the company who need to see Work records data of all employees, you need to make the following settings in the PANTHEON database on the user level:
- In Administration Panel | Users and Groups | <AD/Username> | Security | Datalab Applications | Datalab PANTHEON Web | PAW – Employees | PAW – Employees – Only own data, remove any authorizations;
- In Administration Panel | Users and Groups | <AD/Username> | Security | Datalab Applications | Datalab PANTHEON Web | PAW – Work Records, add Delete authorizations.
In the Work records module, the user will see the My records tab with the timer and the list of their own work obligations. The Search engine, however, will enable also showing the data of all other employees.
