Import subjects

The Import subjects button on the Subjects tab enables the import of subjects into the Subjects register, from a predefined Excel file.

HINT
For a practical use case of subject import from Excel see the User Manual.
The button has two options:

When clicking the button, an Excel file (Subject_import_template_EU) is downloaded onto your computer. The table has predefined fields for the input of data about subjects.

Clicking the Import subjects button opens a new form – File upload for subject import:

The filled out Excel file (Subject_import_template_EU) can be uploaded with the Drag and drop method, or by clicking into the grey field, which will open a window with Explorer, where you can select your file.
The program shows the imported data. In the temporary view, the data can still be changed, edited, or added.

The toolbar has buttons:
Repeat import
Begins a new import process.
Save
Saves the data from the temporary table into the Subjects register.
X (Exit)
Cancels the import process.
The header shows the following data:
Show only errors (toggle button)

If this toggle button is enabled (colored yellow), only subjects (lines) with mistakes or missing data are shown. This feature is very useful with a large data import.

No. of new subjects

Where there is mandatory data missing in the table (error), the program will return the ! warning sign.
When all the errors are fixed, the number will return to 0.
