Tecta Production Scheme

Tecta's production facility produces its own brands of tents TentsPRO and TentsHOME, which are sold and rented. To optimise their operations, they use the PANTHEON software package, which provides software support at all levels of business. Tecta uses a PANTHEON Manufacturing licence to manage and control the production process.

Description of the Tecta production scheme:

With PANTHEON production features, Tecta tracks customer orders, from which monthly manufacturing plans are created. With production scheduling, the company calculates material requirements to order optimal quantities. Tecta also uses scheduling to determine the availability of resources so that work operations can be carried out in time for timely delivery of products.

The information about the materials and work operations needed to manufacture a product is transferred to the plan from the Basic Bills of Materials of the product. The BOMs serve as the basis for the product composition, which is adjusted as needed during production. The Basic BOMs are also used to recalculate the manufacturing costs of a product before production or in case of possible changes of material, using the Cost Estimation tool.

The work orders, which are most often created from a schedule, track the release of material from a warehouse, the reporting of work done for production, the cost of outsourced work and the receipt of products and semi-finished goods into a warehouse. The work orders also track the quantity of waste and refuse. A special type of repair work order can be used to track repairs of defective products.
