Adding Operations and Workers to the Daily Plan

Operations and workers can be added to the Daily Plan by using the Work Orders/Employees form. Both can be added simply by using the Drag and Drop method.

Below, see a use case of the feature.

Case summary

The person responsible has opened a new Daily Plan for the second shift in the Manufacturing department. Now, the person responsible has to add operations and workers to the Daily Plan. The person responsible does this by following these steps:

  1. Add an operation
  2. Add an employee

1. Add an operation

On the Daily plan, the person responsible opens the Work Orders/Employees tab, where a window with work orders is displayed.

The person responsible selects work orders using various filters in the window's header, and then, by clicking the  (Eye) button, a window with the operations defined for that work order opens.

The person responsible transfers the operation  to the appropriate resource, using the drag-and-drop method.

In this case, the person responsible has two operations: cutting and riveting, with primary resources CU1001 and RI3001, and the person responsible transfers the operations to the resources using the drag-and-drop method.

2. Add an Employee

After selecting the operation, the person responsible clicks the Select Employee button to choose an employee for the defined operation, based on the planned, subordinate, free, or all the employees in the company.

Additionally, the person responsible selects employees based on skill, department, and resources.

In this case, the person responsible selects Planned employees from the Manufacture department: John Worker and Richard Worker, who will be transferred to resources using the drag-and-drop method.

Afterward, the planned operations can be seen in the Calendar tab.
