HINT
Authorizations are permissions that allow a user access to specific areas of PANTHEON. User-specific authorizations are applied as soon as a user logs on to PANTHEON.
There are two levels of authorizations:
- Permissions on user group level - the topmost level of authorizations
- Permissions on user level - lower level of authorizations; by default, every user has the authorizations of the user group, which can be personalized
|
To check authorizations, Calvin Clerk first needs to sign into PANTHEON:

Then, Calvin Clerk opens document type 3200 - POS retail:

Clicks on a line and changes the rebate:

Also, clicks on the Operations button and sees a list of available options:

Calvin Clerk concludes that prices can be changed with his username and informs IT person that authorizations are not set properly.
Next, the person responsible from IT adjusts autorizations. In the menu Settings | Program | Administration Panel | Users and Groups | User, the person responsible finds user Calvin Clerk:

The person responsible opens the Security | Permissions tab:

In the menu Datalab Applications | Datalab PANTHEON | Goods | POS, the person responsible defines authorizations for Prices to None, so the user cannot change prices on lines:

The person responsible sets the authorization for Adding discounts to positions to None, so the user cannot add discounts:

The person responsible sets the authorization for Operations to None, so the user cannot see the button Operations in the POS issued document header:

After defining authorizations, IT closes the Administration Panel.

WARNING
Every change in authorizations granted to a user group will also be reflected in all users that belong to that group. Permissions that are explicitly defined at the user level will take precedence over the permissions set for a group and are therefore not inherited.

Calvin Clerk signs into PANTHEON again and opens document type 3200 - POS retail.
Calvin tries to change the price and concludes that fields are now disabled:

The Operations button is not visible on the screen and the Prices button is disabled:
