General

The General tab enables copying permissions and/or membership from other users and editing permissions for the selected user.
The form can be accessed by clicking the individual user on the Users panel in Administration Panel and selecting the Security tab.

The form is made up of certain elements, which are described below.
In this section, you can copy permission and/or membership from source principal.
Source principal

From the drop-down list, select the user from which you want to copy permissions and/or membership, depending on the checkbox checked below.

Copy
|
Copies the permissions and/or membership from the selected user (source principal) to the user for whom the authorizations are being edited.
Program opens a confirmation window where you confirm or cancel the authorization copying process.

Permissions
|
If checked ( ), Permissions are copied by clicking the Copy button.
|
Membership
|
If checked ( ), Membership is copied by clicking the Copy button.

WARNING
When copying only permissions from a user who is also a member of a user group, only user permissions are copied and not permissions from the user's user group.
When copying user group membership, user group permissions are also copied and the target user also becomes a member of the selected user group.

In this section, you can edit permissions, set them to: None, Full or Undefined.

None
|
No permissions. The feature is hidden from the user.
|
Full
|
Full permissions. User can read, write, change end delete data.
|
Add
|
Changes the undefined permissions to none or full (depending on choice above).
|
Update
|
Updates the defined permissions to none or full (depending on choice above).
|
Save
|
Changes the permissions to none or full (depending on choice above).
|
Remove
|
Sets all permissions to Undefined.
|
Apply
|
Applies changes made to authorizations. Refreshes the user menu and permissions. Button is enabled only for the current user.

HINT
When applying changes, a warning is displayed:

When setting permissions, user can mistakenly remove his(her permissions to enter/login PANTHEON. Before applying the changes, the user is warned of this situation.
