Change WO Status

Change WO Status

Change WO Status

In order to change work order status select Change WO Status in Process Work Orders.

Statuses  can be changed only for work orders assigned P - Planned, O - Open, I - Reserved, R - Released and Z - Complete status. Work orders which were assigned reversed status do not appear here.

Select a work order from the bottom section and select Change WO Status from wizards menu. By doing so you open a window where you can set criteria in order to more precisely set work order whose status you want to change (when clicking the command you have to be select a work order).

By clicking Refresh work orders matching the set criteria appear listed in a special panel.

 

Status

New Status Set a new status to the selected WOs. Here belong the following statuses:
  • P - Planned
  • O - Open
  • I - Reserved
  • R - Released
  • E - Partially Complete

You can change status of WOs to R - Released only if you UNCHECK 52521.gifChange WO Status to »Released« Only After Documentation Printed in (Administration Panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Manufacturing | Work Orders). Otherwise R - Released status does not appear in dropdown of the field for assigning new statuses. 

 

You can change status of WOs to I - Reserved only if you CHECKED 52522.gifHard Allocation of Work Orders in (Administration Panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Goods | General). Otherwise I - Reserved status does not appear in dropdown of the field for assigning new statuses. 

Allocations Custom set box where you can select a mode of hard allocations of quantities for issuing to work order. It appears only when you select I - Reserved or R - Released as new status and having checked Hard Allocation of Work Orders.
  • None- Change work order status without allocated quantities.
  • Partially - Select it in order to partially allocate quantities in work order.
  • All - Allocates an entire work order
  •

WO Criteria

 

WO (From - To)
 
Set a range of work order IDs for which you want to change status.
Parent WO Restriction by the entered parent WOs.
 WO (From - To) (parent) Restricts work orders according to parent ones.
52513.gifNo Parent WO If checked, criteria are set only for those work orders not having parent WOs.
52514.gifAll Linked If checked, collects all parent and child work orders, according to the set criteria.

Moreover, the criteria All Parents, All Children and Include Parents are hidden.

52516.gifAll Children If checked, collects all child work orders.
52517.gifInclude Parents If checked, includes parent WOs, according to set criteria,
Document Types Check work order document types in order to restrict selection.
Plan Select a plan No. by which you want to restrict work orders.
Date (From - To) Select date period in which work orders were created.
Start Date (From - To) Select start date period for production in work order.
End Date (From - To) Select end date period for production in work order.
 
Priority Select work order priority
WO Status





 
Check work order status in order to restrict selection of work orders, that is, P - Planned, O - Open, I - Reserved, R - Released:
  • P - Planned Restricts selection by work orders with this status.
  • O - Open Restricts selection by work orders with this status.
  • I - Reserved Restricts selection by work orders with this status.
  • R - Released Restricts selection by work orders with this status.

    Select all in order to restrict selection by all of the above-listed statuses.

If you select E - Partially Complete as new work order, then you can restrict selection only by work orders with the following status:

  • Z - Complete

 

Product Criteria

 

Item Select an item by which you want to restrict work orders.
Name Select an item's name by which you want to restrict work orders.
Item Type Select an item type by which you want to restrict work orders.
Prim. Categ. Select a primary category ID by which you want to restrict work orders.
Sec. Categ. Select a secondary category ID by which you want to restrict work orders.

A List of Work Orders

Having selected work order criteria for changing status click Refresh listing work orders matching the criteria you set.

Check work orders for which you want to change status. Having selected work orders click Change to commit status change.

 

Sel. If checked, displays a work order whose status will be changed. By right-clicking you can select or deselect all work orders on the list.

WO Displays work order ID.
Priority Displaqys WO priority
Status  Displays the current work order status.
Item Displays an ID of item in work order.
Name Displays name of the item in work order.
Quantity Displays planned quantity in work order.
Plan Displays number of plan based on which the work order was created.
Start Date Displays start date of production.
End Date Displays end date of production.

 

 

ALLOCATIONS

  • None - IF selected, you can change work order status to I - Reserved or R - Released without allocated quantities.
  • Partially - If selected, a partially allocated quantities are possible meaning that allocation must be performed in at least one work order line. Otherwise the status will not be changed, that is, the work order is removed from the list.
  • All - If selected, allocates the entire WO meaning that allocation must be performed in ALL lines. Otherwise the status will not be changed, that is, the work order is removed from the list. .

Changing WO Status

Having set parameters and selected appropriate work orders, launch procedure for changing statuses by clicking Change.

Because work orders appearing in panel are assigned various statuses, the procedure depends on how you set it in dropdown in New Status. With some work orders you just change status whereas with some you have to perform hard allocations for issuing and still for others you have to release allocated quantities,...
