Transfer Groups

The Transfer Groups form allows the person responsible to change the Group assignment of one or more fixed assets (FA) simultaneously. It is useful when, for example, a new Group has been created to reflect a different functional category or organizational structure and multiple FAs from the same Group need to be reassigned to the new one.

The Transfer Groups form can be accessed by right-clicking the Group field in the Header of the Fixed Assets, Small Tools or Register-Fixed Assets in Acquisition registers.

Hint

Examples of how to use the Transfer Groups form are described on the corresponding pages of the User Manual for PANTHEON.

The Transfer Groups form consists of the following functional units:

Old Group

From the drop-down menu, select the Group currently assigned to the FAs, which will be changed. This field is also automatically filled-in with the Group that was right-clicked in the Header.

Warning

If the field is left empty, no results will be displayed by the program.

Sel.

(Select)
The checkboxes in the Select column are selected by default for all listed entries. A checked box indicates the FA is included in the Group transfer. To exclude specific FAs from the transfer, simply uncheck the corresponding boxes.

Inv. No.

(Inventory Number)
Displays the unique Inventory Numbers of the FAs, as recorded in their respective registers. This field is automatically populated after clicking the Find button.
Name

Shows the primary Name of the FA, such as Fence, Building, or Computer.

The field is automatically populated when the Find button is clicked.

New Group Select the New Group to which the selected FAs will be transferred.
Find button Clicking the button retrieves all FAs that currently belong to the Group specified in the Old Group field.
Transfer button Click the button to move all selected FAs from the Old Group to the New Group. The program will update each FA's assigned group in the Header of the FA’s register.
