Urgent Task

Urgent tasks are those tasks that all users must carry out urgently. It can be a re-login to the program, closing the program, running eWorkflows or ARES. With an urgent task, we can also send the users urgent messages or information.
For this purpose, we must define that this is a special type of Urgent task on the Task form.

CASE SUMMARY
The IT department would like that all the employees log out of the program immediately and log in again, due to an urgent upgrade that will be carried out.
For this purpose, the administrator takes care of the proper settings and creates a task for all users. The administrator defines the task type as 'urgent task'.
The person responsible does this in the following way:
- Setting the interval for checking urgent tasks
- Creating an urgent task
- Carrying out the urgent task
|
The person responsible sets the checking interval (urgent tasks) in the Administration panel first. The person responsible sets the smallest possible checking interval, which is one minute.

The setting is saved automatically, when the person responsible closes the Administration panel or clicks on another panel.
In the next step, the person responsible creates a task with the message about a re-login to the program, for all the program users.
For a detailed process of creating a task, see chapter Creating a task.
The key thing that the person responsible must also set when creating a task is selecting 'Urgent task' from the drop-down list in the Task type field.

With the setting of the task type, an additional field called System task will appear, where the person responsible selects Re-login from the drop-down list.

When the task has been created, all the users will get a re-login form pop-up after one minute, as the interval for checking urgent tasks was set.
