Open cases

The treatment process for animals (e.g., injury) may take longer. In this case, the veterinarian makes a new record of the treatment with each visit. In such a case, theowner can make the payment when the treatment is completed. In the program PANTHEON VET the list of open cases (treatment not yet completed, related document invoice or delivery note has not yet been created) can be easily reviewed.

In this chapter, we will present an example of how to easily check the list of open cases. The functionality is located in the menu Veterinary | Codes | Owner and animal codes, in the tab Open cases.

TIP

For more detailed information about the program forms, read in The PANTHEON VET Guide, in the chapter Open cases.

CASE DESCRIPTION

The veterinarian treated a sick dog. A follow-up examination will be necessary, so the treatment was not completed. During the next visit, the receptionist checks the list of open cases. The procedure is described below.

  • The responsible person at the veterinary station searches for the animal owner in the Owner and animal codes. A detailed search procedure is described in the chapter Find owners and animals - Easy.

  • In the tab Open cases clicks on the sub-tab Open treatments, where they see the list with details of each treatment.

  • In our case, the code for the unfinished treatment is: 22-CLI3-000007.
