Basic presentation of the Veterinary Clinic Bestia

Manual 'How to start with PANTHEON VET' we have built for easier understanding based on the example of a fictional company, named: Veterinary Clinic Bestia (hereinafter also referred to as the shortened form of the name - 'Bestia').

Below we present the fictional veterinary company Bestia, the processes in the company, and examples related to the operations of the fictional company. We hope that the descriptions and examples will be helpful and assist you in understanding the use of PANTHEON VET- in your company.

We have divided this presentation into the following chapters:

1. Beginnings of the veterinary company

The fictional veterinary company Bestia was established by the owner Dane Director. The company or veterinary clinic was founded by a veterinarian and doctor of veterinary medicine with a veterinary license. To perform veterinary activities, the facility must be appropriately equipped. Before they could start the activity, it was inspected and evaluated by a professional committee.

The Veterinary Clinic Bestia, which operates as a limited liability company (d.o.o.), also has a business unit in Maribor, employing a total of nine employees. 

The name of the company was carefully chosen, as it means 'beast' in Latin (bestia).

2. Activities of the veterinary company

Today, the company Bestia is organized as a limited liability company providing veterinary services. 

The key activities of the company are:

• Outpatient services for small animals (emergency veterinary assistance, preventive vaccinations for dogs and cats, sterilizations and castrations of dogs and cats, disease diagnostics, outpatient treatment, animal nutrition counseling, issuance of veterinary medicines, sample collection for specialist examinations (progesterone test, antibody titers for canine diseases, etc.);

• Outpatient services for large animals (counseling on breeding and nutrition of animals, issuance of veterinary medicines, documentation management, registration, deregistration, reporting of cattle, pigs, sheep, and horses, ordering registers, ear tags, and animal numbering pliers, parasitological examination of feces and advice on parasite elimination, laboratory tests of blood and urine of large animals);

• Field services for large animals (emergency veterinary assistance, preventive vaccinations (mandatory and optional), disease diagnostics, horse microchipping, cesarean section, numbering of cattle and sheep, treatment of diseases and reproductive disorders, ultrasound examination of pregnancy and births, portable X-ray, artificial insemination, surgical procedures, sample collection for examinations);

• Specialized services for all animals (Laboratory tests (hemogram, biochemistry, urine...), ultrasound, X-ray, EKG, blood pressure measurement, dental services, sterilizations, castrations, and soft tissue surgery);

• Health protection of bees;

• Laboratory research (hemogram, biochemistry, urine tests, cytological examinations, serological testing for infection of cats and dogs with Borrelia, Ehrlichia, and heartworm, FeLV/FIV status of cats, parasitological examination of feces. Other tests are performed for us by specialized laboratories in Slovenia and abroad.);

• Ultrasound examinations (ultrasound examination of pregnancy, diagnostic ultrasound examinations);

• Dental services (cleaning of tartar, filling teeth, dental procedures are performed under general inhalation anesthesia, polishing teeth, tooth extraction, treatment of teeth and periodontal tissues);

• Sterilizations, castrations, and other surgical procedures.

3. Organization of the veterinary company and employees

Every organization needs a design of its organizational structure. Employees are assigned various roles and tasks based on their employment relationships. The organizational structure of the company Bestia is presented in the image below.

4. Operations of the veterinary company

The company Bestia operates with customers and suppliers in the domestic market and abroad.

• A large part of the customers or clients of the company Bestia consists of owners of mainly small animals. 

• It offers its services in its clinic in Ljubljana and in the field.

• The company also has a business unit in Maribor.

The business year of the company Bestia corresponds to the calendar year.

• The accounting of the company is managed by the accounting firm Pecunia.

• In its operations, they use identifiers of the type: seeds, goods, packages, and services.

For optimal business operations, they use the software package PANTHEON VET, which provides them with software support at all levels of operations, both in the clinic and in the field.

The company Bestia strives to maximize electronic business operations. For this purpose, they utilize the functionalities of eBusiness.
