Cost analysis

Cost analysis is a tool used to calculate the actual manufacturing costs of work orders (WOs). Costs are recalculated on the basis of materials consumed and work performed.

Below is an example of a type of Cost analysis, where the own prices from the Cost analysis and Cost estimation for the manufactured WOs linked to the customer Intersport are compared.

CASE SUMMARY
As the person responsible, Marc Manufacture, Head of Manufacturing, wants to carry out a cost analysis of the manufacturing costs for the WOs linked to the customer Intersport d.o.o. He wants to compare the estimated costs from the cost estimation with the actual costs after the manufacturing is finished. Finally, he also wants to print the report made. This is done as follows:
- Opening cost analysis
- Selecting report criteria
- Creating the report
- Printing or exporting the report
|
1. Opening cost analysis
To open Cost analysis, the person responsible opens the menu Manufacturing from the menu bar and selects the option Cost analysis.

2. Selecting report criteria
The person responsible wants to compare manufacturing costs only for the customer Intersport in the current year.
The person responsible selects INTERSPORT, d.o.o. from the drop-down list of the field Customer.
In the field Order date from, the person responsible enters 1.01.2022.
In the section Item types, all checkboxes are checked by default, so no changes are required here.
In the section Document types, the person responsible only checks the checkbox next to the document type 6000 - Manufacturing.
Because the person responsible does not want to create a report for any work orders in progress, the person responsible only checks the checkboxes E-Partially finished and Z-Finished.

3. Creating the report
In the section Report type, the person responsible selects the report 4K2 - Cost analysis - comparison with comparison with cost estimation. Double-clicking the report type creates the desired report.
A preview of the report opens.

4. Printing or exporting the report
By double-clicking the toolbar button
(Print) in the report window, the report can be printed using the connected printer.
By double-clicking the button
(Export), the person responsible can select any file from the list and then export and save it to the computer (for example, in the JPEG format, as shown in the image below).
