By selecting WO Work Preparation tab in Process Work Orders displays a manufacturing specification in bottom section

For detailed treatment of the manufacturing specification see the following topics:

Specification Displays material requirements for realization of work order.
Materials Displays scheduled material lines in work order.
Operations Displays scheduled operations in work order.

Manufacturing specification is just one type of specification that can be created in MF manufacturing module according to the needs and requirements. Manufacturing specification includes components, that is, materials of a specific item in a work order together with the technological process to be carried out.

Materials panel contains data of material requirements in order to produce a specified quantity of products. Furthermore, material transactions in issuing materials from warehouse to work order are based on it.

Operations panel contains data of operations in technological process of a specific work order and recorded manufacturing time is based on it when performing operations.

Basically, a manufacturing specification is a product specification's duplicate in a work order. Hence, the data from the currently selected alternate product specification were copied to manufacturing specification.

Besides lines from product specification there can be found schedules in lines of material requirements pozicij as well as scheduled operations.

Manufacturing specifications can be edited in the same way as product specifications. That is, you can add new material lines and operations. You can also change them and delete them. Thus you adapt a product specification to the needs and requirements as specified in a work order.

By checking Exclusive Spec Editing it is checked whether more than one user is trying to edit a manufacturing specification. In this case the following message is returned.

It also shows the current state of realized material transactions and work.

Material lines of work order are displayed in top section of the window. Below you can observe operations.

In the follow-up you can see functions used specifically in editing manufacturing specifications. While functions which are the same as in editing product specifications have links to the corresponding topics.

52170.gif Clicking in a column field sorts by in ascending order.
52171.gif Double-clicking certain fields opens a corresponding register.
Double-clicking other fields opens window Edit Manufacturing Spec Lines.

There are additional functions that can be found in the wizards menu in Process Work Orders window (WO Work Preparation panel)

There is an additional Material Requirements report that can be found in the report menu in Process Work Orders window (WO Work Preparation panel)

52174.gif Whenever quantity entered in a work order equals 0, quantities in lines under WO Work Preparation tab of manufacturing specification are displayed for quantity 1.
