Production

Work orders are processed whenever any changes occur and by confirming actual material consumption. After selecting one of the released work orders and clicking Production from the wizards menu, a window is opened where you can change quantity used and even add new items and delete unused work orders or replace them. You can also create and display work order and assembly order reports.

65244.gif Set method used in checking available stock in Quantity Check panel of Document Types settings so that you are not required to confirm work order if the quantities used differentiate from the ones required. You can leave it unchecked so that you can close not completely issued work order and assign it the Finished status.

There are two types of processing. Using one you process work order for an item with assigned serial number, and using the other you process an item without serial number. The only difference between the two methods used is in a slightly different form used for processing work orders. That is, work orders for items with serial numbers include a corresponding field.

65245.gif Whenever processing work orders you have to be careful to first process the lowest-level work order (WO for B, WO for C) and then proceed to the next level (WO for A). The Customer and Order fields are usually empty if you are not creating work orders from orders.

Functions in Taskbar:

Opens a wizards menu:

  • Confirm Production -  Issues materials from warehouse and records delivery of finished product at warehouse.
  • Confirm Issue - Issues materials from warehouse.
  • Confirm Receiving - Delivery of finished product at warehouse.
  • Linked Documents- Displays a list of movements of issue and receiving on work order.
  • Close WO- Closes WO (WO is assigned the status I - Finished). The function is available only when the work order has not been closed.
  • Open WO- Opens WO (status WO changes from I to D - In Progress). The function is available only when the work order has been closed.
  • Copy Spec - Copies product specification to work order.
Click it to open report menu:

65251.gif The only difference between the work order and assembly order is that the latter is displayed using a pre-printed work order!
