Serial Numbers - Orders

WARNING

As information, the program will align data when entering to sales order line because of the condition that ordered and quantity of serial numbers must be equal. Quantity on the order will be equal to the quantity of entered serial numbers.

The Ser. No. button  will open a window where you can enter serial numbers (for more information see serial numbers) for the order. It can be used if an item is tracked by a type of serial numbers that has been selected for the document type that you are using (selected for serial number entry). This function is especially useful for keeping track of orders by product variations (size for articles of clothing or shoes, etc.).

Item The Item field is filled-in by the ID,  name and unit of measurement of the item that is ordered by serial numbers.
Quantity It is the ordered quantity on the document line.

As information, the program will align data when entering to sales order line because of the condition that ordered and quantity of serial numbers must be equal. Quantity on the order will be equal to the quantity of entered serial numbers.

Serial number List of serial numbers you have entered manually or copied automatically. You can also import serial numbers from an external source (for more information see chapter barcode scanner) or transfer them from an existing document through the Add function.

If serial number of the type E - Compound serials (one piece) or O - Compound serial (batch), you determine in serial number templates what serial number will include (for more information see serial number entry), and the name of the serial number or at least part of it will depend on template settings:

Quantity
  • f there is a simple serial number, the Quantity field does not appear, because the default quantity for receiving is 1.
  • If there is a serial number of batch type,  the Quantity field appears, where you enter the quantity for receiving of an individual batch.

When entered quantity of serial number matches with the received quantity, the program reports a message (see the serial number count has been reached!).
