The Customs Tariffs register contains customs tariffs and customs duty rates, which is then in turn entered in the Customs section of the General panel of the Items register.

This information is the used for Single Administrative Documents and Customs Warehousing.

The customs duty set here will also be used for costing if the Customs Duty option is set to From Customs Tariffs (in Administration Panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Goods | General).

Custom tariffs

TARIC Code The 10-digit code according to the Integrated Tariff of the European Union (TARIC).
Name The name of the custom tariff
Customs Duty Rate The standard customs duty rate.
Unit of measurement Use only when the customs unit of measurement is required. Enter its code in the custom tariffs register. It is used in the Items register - General panel (Customs section).

If you set an item to have a customs tariff with a prescribed customs unit of measurement, this is saved into the Items register. The conversion factor between the main and the customs unit of measurement is entered manually.

This is used, among others, for Intrastat.
Description An optional description of the customs tariff

Excise Duty

Type of Duty The taxation type for the excise duty, that is being calculated with this custom tariff.
Cost Account The account for posting excise duty on issued invoices. The account is selected from the Chart of Accounts.
Rate per Unit The rate (in percent) of the excise duty if it is provided as percentage.
Value The value of the excise duty if it is provided as a value.

Environmental Duty

Elec. Equipment The type of electrical and electronic equipment.

Tariff Preferences

40392.png

Origin
  • The code of the country of origin for which the tariff preference applies (Customs Origin column from the Countries register, or
  • the code of the customs union (Customs Union column from the Countries register). The code of the customs union can be designated freely and it represents the group that uses a common rate customs duty rate (for example, 1 for the EU).
Rate The tariff preference for the set country or group of countries (customs union).
Valid From The date from which this tariff preference is used.
Agreem. No. The number of the agreement or other document that is the basis for the use of the tariff preference.
Print the Customs Tariffs register.
Clone the currently selected custom tariff into a new one. You must change the code of the cloned tariff before you can save it.
The only available wizard is for copying tariff preferences. Tariff preferences are not cloned when cloning a tariff. This wizard is useful when multiple tariffs have the same tariff preference.
000001.gif When creating customs documents, the program look for the applicable customs duty rate in the following order:
  • if a rate is specified for a customs union and the country of origin is a member of that union, the rate for the customs union is used, else
  • if a rate is specified for the country of origin, that one is used, else
  • the standard rate is used.
000001.gif See Taskbar for a general description of its function.
