Import Structure

The Import Structure form contains the correct structure which must be followed in the Excel file to ensure successful import or export of fixed asset (FA) data. This structure serves as a template, listing all necessary fields that are required by the program, which allows the person responsible to match the Excel file layout with the PANTHEON's expected format.

Warning

The correct structure must be used for the Import/Export process to succeed.

The Import Structure form can be accessed by clicking the Structure button in the Import from Excel File and Export to Excel forms.

Hint

Examples of how to use the Import Structure form are described on the corresponding pages of the User Manual for PANTHEON.

The form is divided into the following sections:

Table of contents

  1. Header
  2. Import/Export Structure

1. Header

The Header contains a button for saving the Excel template.

Save to File button

Clicking the Save to File button exports the structure as a .txt file that can be saved locally. The saved file serves as a template for preparing the Excel files for import or export.

2. Import/Export Structure

This section displays a list of columns along with their corresponding titles, which define how the Excel file should be structured for import or export. Maintaining this structure is essential for the PANTHEON to recognize and process the data accurately.

Each entry on the list indicates the expected column letter and the field name that must be used for it. For example, A: Inventory No. means that column A in the Excel file should be titled Inventory No., while column B should be labeled Quantity, and so on.
