Guidance on encryption

Data encryption allows you to add data in a structured way and to search and use it more quickly. At the same time, it leaves room for additional entries that will be tracked in the future.

We have prepared more detailed instructions for the different types of ident codes:

Non-speaking codes

Presentation of non-speaking ciphers and demonstration of an example.
Talking codes Presentation of talking ciphers and demonstration of an example.
Half-speaking codes Presentation of semi-speaking ciphers and demonstration of an example.
Composite codes Presentation of compound codes and demonstration of an example.
Special encryptions An introduction to what special encryption is and examples.

In addition to idents, you can also encrypt other data that is used repeatedly in the program. The second most important code list is used to enter the entities that can be encrypted. Read more in Automatic-entity-encryption.

HINT
  1. Non-speaking/semi-speaking codes and EAN codes can be generated automatically.
  2. To distinguish between individual units within the same code (e.g. to identify ours from all the red cars), we use a special mechanism - serial numbers. For more on this topic, see Why serial numbers?
  3. Specific examples of code entry (e.g. EAN/UCC 128, quantity or serial number in a code, etc.) are explained in Advanced Code Entry Route.
