Introduction to Tecta

To make it easier to understand, the user manual "Getting Started with PANTHEON" was prepared based on the example of a fictional company Tecta.
This chapter presents Tecta, the company's processes and examples related to the business operations carried out by Tecta. We hope that you will find the descriptions and examples helpful and that they will help you understand the use of PANTHEON in your company. The fictional company Tecta is a family-run company manufacturing, selling and servicing tents. It was founded in 1980, when it grew from a passion for travel and tent camping into a great business success story. The founder and owner, Daniel Direktor, together with his wife, initially started a small workshop for the repair of family tents and equipment. Over the years, it has grown into a company with 50 employees, operating in both domestic and foreign markets. The company name was carefully chosen, as it means roof or canopy in Latin.

2. Company activities
Today, Tecta is organized as a public limited company, which manufactures and sells its own trademarked tents and offers a range of services to its customers. The company's key activities are:

manufacturing and sales of tents for events, ornamental pagoda tents of their own trademark TentsPRO;

manufacturing and sales of camping tents of their trademark TentsHOME;

renting tents;

assembly and disassembly of tents;

servicing of tents;
3. Company organization and employees
Every organization needs an organizational chart. This way, employees are assigned different roles and assignments according to their employment relationships. The following image shows the organizational structure of Tecta.

4. Company business operations
Tecta does business with customers and suppliers both domestically and abroad. They have agreed contract prices with some of them.

Wholesale of their own products is carried out through their strategic partners (subcontractors).

Retail sales are carried out in their own store in Ljubljana, where they also have an assembly and service centre.

They work with partner companies on smaller projects.
Tecta's fiscal year is the same as the calendar year.

The accounting department uses double-entry bookkeeping, where accounting is done by department and by cost centre.

The stock in warehouses is valued at average purchase prices, while finished products are valued at fixed prices.

In their business, they use the following item types: product, material, goods, packages and services.
Tecta prepares annual business plans to monitor the success of the company's operations. They also monitor the success of manufacturing operations and the overall achievement of financial plans on a monthly basis. The management receives reports on the achievement of the plans by mail.
