Users and Groups

The Users and Groups panel combines two sup-panels: Users and Groups, where is carried out creating, editing and grouping users, setting authorisations and work on different databases.
The panel can be accessed on Administration panel.

The form is made up of certain panels, which we describe below.
- Users - The user of the program is the person who logs in into the program and set them authorisations and other personal settings. Tab allows individual settings for each of created user.
- Groups - Individual users can be grouped into a group that has similar properties or authorizations. Within the group authorizations can be assigned to all users concurrently. Tab allows settings for each groups.

WARNING
- When a new user is created it is by default no member of a usergroup.
- User may be a member of multiple usergroups at once - in this case, user inherits the highest/top permissions of the usergroup.
- Permissions that are explicitly set for a user are not inherited from the usergroup.
- User permissins take precedence over the permissions of the usergroup. Example: Usergroup_1 has 'Reading' permissions on Items registers and Usergroup_2 has 'Writing' permissions on Items registers. User that is assigned to both usergroups will inherit 'Writing' permission which is higher.
