How to Find the IP Address of a Computer


We often need to find the IP address of the computer we are using. This can be quite difficult if we are connected to the internet via a dial-up connection, which assigns a different IP address each time.

Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
Type "cmd" and press Enter to open Command Prompt.

In the Command Prompt window, type the following command: ipconfig.

The command will return the following information:
