Selection Table

Selection Table

A selection table is used for selecting data from a register. It can be found wherever we need to select one of the possible records in a register. The presence of a selection table is indicated by an arrow () at the end of the entry field.

HINT

If we know the ID of the record that we are looking for (in full, or at least the initial characters), we jump to the first value that contains the partial ID that we have already entered (see General – Browsing data). Then we select the desired value with the cursor keys or the mouse and confirm the selection by clicking on the value or pressing the Enter key on the keyboard.

WARNING

Double-clicking into the window opens a register that contains the data we are selecting from. In this way we can see the data in the register quickly, add a new record to the register or modify an existing record in the register.
