Creating ZEUS Analyses - Table

010411.gif010382.gif010383.gif
000001.gif First open ZEUS Analyses window.

Here a table is set up. You can move columns at will.

The table can be customized by following the procedures described below. Usually, the sequence of procedures does not matter.

Details of Last Cube Processing

Details of last cube processing are located just below title bar.

Measures

Tick the checkbox 019959.gif  or leave it unchecked 019960.gif  to select specific measures.

28218.gif

Example: On the image below you can see that only Quantity is selected.

28219.gif

000001.gif Take care when selecting measures since not all measures give satisfactory results and information across all levels of individual dimension.

Example:

Using the Quantity measure (in unit of measure) across all item levels, a chance exists that incompatible data is retrieved ("to compare apples and pears").

Setting up Preferences and Tools

For detailed treatment see Preferences and Tools.

Pivot Table

To generate various analyses, simply drag and drop (using a mouse) individual dimensions from one border to the other. If a certain dimension is not required in the current analysis, eliminate it by dragging it outside the table area (or, by selecting the region and pressing 005054.gif. You can have multiple dimensions listed at the same time.

28221.gif

 28222.gif)

Click 023138.gif in taskbar to restore dimensions.

Filter Settings

Filter data by clicking column field and selecting corresponding values. That is, click 023140.gif  icon to set filter. Selection is done in the same way as in the Parameters panel.

28223.gif

Drilldown

Drilldown can be performd for dimensions currently located at the line border and for those that are on the column border. Drilling down means that you can collapse any dimension member to child attribute items (if they exist) and view detailed data.

That is, click 023141.gif. On the other hand, clicking 023142.gif hides child items.

You can remove individual levels (which can be found at the line or column borders) from analysis in the same way as entire dimensions (by pulling them outside the table area or by marking the region and pressing 005054.gif).

28224.gif

Intersection of Multiple Dimensions

To analyze data by intersection of multiple dimesions, simply follow the procedure desribed under the Pivot Table section and drag them to the line or column borders. Dimensions located together at one border form intersections. Collapse them in a similar way as child items that can be found under Drilldown.

Rollback Initial Settings

Click 023139.gif in taskbar to rollback to pivot table's initial settings (position of dimensions on borders, sets of preferences...).

000001.gif Pivot table is in an interactive way connected with the pivot chart. Changes made to the chart influence table layout, and vice versa.
