A lookup list is used to select data from a register. It is applied anywhere you have to select between existing records in the register.

When closed it looks just like a simple drop-down list, with a down-pointing arrow on the right-hand side. When opened, it displays a small table with key data from the related register.

000001.gif Double-clicking the box that holds the selection from the lookup list, opens the related register. This enables quick access for reviewing and editing registers.

If you do not know the exact ID of the record you are looking for, enter some initial characters to filter the list for the records that start with the entered string (see Browsing Data).

Use the cursor keys to move up or down the list and press the 005043.gif key to confirm your selection, or left-click the desired selection.
