Data about the animal and the owner

Veterinarians often transcribe the data they collect about owners and animals onto various forms or animal record books. The program PANTHEON VET allows for easy and quick printing of labels with the required information.

In this chapter, we will present an example of printing a label with data about the animal and the owner. The functionality is located in the menu   Veterinary | Code lists | Code list of owners and animals.

TIP

For more detailed information about the program forms, read in the PANTHEON VET Guide, in the chapter Print label.

CASE DESCRIPTION

The owner of the puppy Poppy, Jasna Jerebičar, brought a litter of puppies to the veterinary clinic, which will be microchipped and issued identification documents. The animal document must include data about the owner and the animal for which it is issued. For this purpose, the receptionist will print a label with the data, thus speeding up the work. The procedure will be carried out with the following steps:

  1. Searching/entering owner data
  2. Entering animal data
  3. Selecting the animal
  4. Printing the label with data about the animal and the owner

1. Searching/entering owner data

The responsible person at the veterinary station first checks the data about the owner and the puppy (mother of the litter).

The detailed search procedure is described in the chapter Search.

TIP

When the owner is not yet registered in the PANTHEON VET program, we first register them. The detailed procedure is described in the chapter Entering the owner.

2. Entering animal data

The responsible person begins entering data about the puppies.

The detailed procedure for entering animals is described in the chapter Entering the animal or Entering the dog

TIP

For faster entry of data about puppies from the same litter, you can use the functionality that copies the data. Then correct the data in the fields where they differ. The detailed procedure is described in the chapter Copy.

 3. Selecting the animal

Once all the puppies are registered in the PANTHEON VET program, the responsible person marks which animals they want to print data on the label.

  • In the list Animal overview they mark the animals for which they want to print the label.
  • They do this by holding the Ctrl key on the keyboard and clicking on the codes of the desired animals in the list Animal overview

4. Printing the label with data about the animal and the owner

For the selected animals, the responsible person will print labels that can be attached to the document of each individual dog.

  • The responsible person clicks the button Print label
  • They select the option Data about the animal and the owner

  • A new window opens where they can set Label settings.
  • In our case, they continue by clicking the button OK.

  • A new window opens, preview: 6YA - Print travel list of the animal - animal.
  • In the label printing preview, the data about the owner and the animal for each individual dog selected by the responsible person is visible.
  • They click the button Print.
