The following is an example of creating a treatment document for cattle insemination.
 |
CASE DESCRIPTION
The responsible person in the veterinary clinic wants to create a new treatment document for the first insemination of a cow. Valentin Veterinarian performed the insemination of the cow owned by Eva Angus. The treatment document for insemination is created in the following steps:
- Type of treatment
- Entering data in the Owner/Animal tab
- Entering the veterinarian and adding the animal
- Entering data in the Insemination tab
|
1. Type of treatment
The responsible person creates a treatment document to enter data about the first insemination of the cattle.
In the menu Veterinary | Treatment selects the document type option, in our case document type: CLI3 - Clinic.
The CLI3 - Clinic form opens, showing the last created treatment document.
The responsible person clicks the button Enter record.
A new treatment document is created, with fields cleared for new data entries. In our case, the document number is created: 23-CLI3-000007, when the responsible person clicks the button Save.
 |
WARNING
The program automatically assigns the next sequential number to the document when the user clicks the button Save.
|

Proceeds to entering the owner/animal data.
2. Entering data in the Owner/Animal tab
In the tab Owner/Animal Entry enters the owner's data in the field Subject.
In our case, selects: Eva Angus. Other owner fields are filled automatically.

3. Entering the veterinarian and adding the animal
In the field Veterinarian selects from the list the veterinarian who performed the insemination: Valentin Veterinarian.
Adds the cow that was inseminated by clicking the button Add animal.
A window opens Add animals to treatment with a list of all the owner's animals.
 |
TIP
The animal list display can be filtered using various criteria in the window header.
|

In our case, selects the cow's position with Animal ID: SI3513017429 and by clicking the button Add, adds it to the treatment document.

The selected animal's data is recorded in the treatment document.

Once the cow's data is recorded in the treatment document, proceeds to entering the cattle insemination treatment.
4. Entering data in the tab Insemination
The responsible person navigates to the tab Insemination.
 |
WARNING
The tab Insemination is visible only if in the section Type of treatment is selected Individual treatment.
|
The tab opens with data about the selected cow.

In the lower part of the window, the tab Inseminationautomatically opens, where the responsible person enters all the data about the animal's first insemination.
By clicking the button New fields for the GO veterinarian's certificate number and some animal data (marked in the image below) are automatically filled.
 |
TIP
The program checks in the background whether the selected veterinarian has assigned GO numbers for inseminations, whether the selected GO certificate number has already been used, and whether the selected veterinarian still has an available GO certificate number.
|

In the field Bull name selects from the dropdown list the bull whose semen was used for insemination. In our case: ROCKY (AAG).
 |
TIP
Instructions for manual data entry about the bull can be found in the chapter Manual entry.
|
Upon selecting the bull, the fields are automatically filled: Bull registration number, Bull ID and Semen series.

By clicking the button Save, saves the insemination data to the treatment document.
