Advanced

Owner and animal registry includes all the basic data needed in a veterinary clinic for working with clients or patients. The basic step for the receptionist, when an owner arrives with an animal at the veterinary clinic, is to search for the owner or the animal in the registry.
In this chapter, we will present an example of searching for an animal. The functionality is located in the menu Veterinary | Registries | Owner and animal registry, tab Advanced.
 |
example description
A person brings a dog to the veterinary clinic to obtain medication against external parasites. They have the dog's passport with them. The receptionist checks whether the dog is already registered in the program. The search process will be carried out with the following steps:
- Opening the "Search owners and animals" form
- Entering search criteria on the Advanced tab
- Selecting the desired code
|
1. Opening the "Search owners and animals" form
The responsible person opens the form where they can perform a search based on various criteria.
 |
TIP
The form Search owners and animals can also be opened using the shortcut Ctrl+F.
|
2. Entering search criteria on the Advanced tab
The responsible person continues the search on the tab Advanced, where it is possible to search based on animal data.
-
In our example, they click in the field Animal ID, then use a scanner to read the barcode of the animal's chip from the passport.
-
They click the button Search.
- The search engine returns a result, displaying the owner's data on the right side of the screen, and at the bottom of the screen, a list of animals registered to the owner in the PANTHEON VET program.

- The search engine returns the desired entry, displaying the owner's data on the right side of the screen, and at the bottom of the screen, in the list Overview, the data of the animal that the responsible person was searching for.
 |
WARNING
If the animal's code is not registered, the program does not return a search result. The list Overview remains empty.
|
3. Selecting the desired code
The responsible person sees a list of animals returned by the program as search results in the list Overview .
- The responsible person clicks on the animal's code in the list Overview (thus selecting/confirming it).
- Then they click the button Select.
- The search window closes. The form Owner/animal entryis displayed, where the responsible person now sees the code of the owner and the animal they were searching for.
 |
TIP
If only the owner's data is available or if you want to search using multiple data points simultaneously, you can perform the search on the tab Simple, which is described in more detail in the chapter Simple.
