Manual entry

Functionality of the confirmation box  (Manual entry) on the selected form Document type, on the tab Artificial Insemination | Insemination/Re-insemination is intended for manual entry of the bull or pig. It is used when the veterinarian performs insemination on-site with semen purchased by the owner themselves.

TIP

You can read the technical instructions in the chapter of the technical manual Insemination/Re-insemination - Manual entry.

The following is an example of manual data entry for a bull.

CASE DESCRIPTION

The responsible person at the veterinary clinic will manually enter the bull's data on the document regarding the insemination of the cow. Veterinarian Valentin performed the insemination of the cow with semen purchased by the owner Eva Angus herself. The manual entry of the bull's data is carried out in the following steps:

  1. Insemination tab
  2. Using the Manual entry functionality

1. Insemination tab

The responsible person creates a new document on the selected Document type. A more detailed description of creating the insemination case for cattle can be found in the chapter Insemination case for cattle.

On the created document: 23-CLI3-000008, go to the tab Insemination.

Click on the button New to fill in the data about the GO veterinarian's certificate number and some animal data.

Proceed to manual entry of the bull's data.

2. Using the Manual entry functionality

The owner purchased the bull's semen herself, so the responsible person will manually enter the bull's data on the case document.

For this purpose, check the confirmation box Manual entry.

WARNING

The data we enter manually is displayed only on prints and the current case. It is not saved in the codebook.

Proceed to enter data in the fields Bull's name, Bull's ID, Bull's ID and Batch of semen. In our case, fill it in as shown in the image below.

By clicking the button Save, save the bull's data to the case document.
