Available Stock

An overview of available stock is a useful feature for checking the remaining stock of an item and can be accessed from sales orders and purchase orders.

WARNING

Available stock is a hypothetical information that indicates the remaining stock of the chosen item after the following conditions are met:

  • all sales and purchase orders with the status type that affects the available stock (hereinafter referred to as confirmed orders, which is the name of the predefined status type)
  • and when the released work orders will be made.

WARNING

In the overview of available stock and orders, the program only displays the non-delivered, confirmed and non-completed sales and purchase orders.
An order is deemed confirmed if its status type affects the available stock (see Orders – Document Types).
Non-confirmed, already delivered or completed orders do not affect the available stock and are not considered by the program in such a case.

WARNING

If the option Include Only Valid Orders is not checked, the program considers all orders for the calculation, regardless of their validity.

Please note all work orders that are in progress or partially finished affect the available stock, regardless of the setting for the option Include Only Valid Orders.

WARNING

The Available stock feature shows information on the currently available stock for an individual item, while the Available Stock Reports show the currently available stock for all items or for a selected set of items.

WARNING

For a general description of the toolbar (taskbar) functions, see Toolbar (task bar).

1. SIMPLE USE (if the Manufacturing module is not being used)

available_stock = actual_stock - confirmed_sales_orders + confirmed_purchase_orders

2. EXTENDED USE (using the data from the Manufacturing module)

available_stock = actual_stock - confirmed_sales_orders – needs_for_WO + confirmed_purchase_orders + planned_manufacturing_from_WO

When you look for an item for which you want to check the available stock using global search, the following information is displayed in the panel:

1. Stock

2. Orders and WO

3. Stock by warehouses

Detailed data about the documents that affect the available stock is displayed in the following tabs in the form footer:

1.   Sales orders

2.   Purchase orders

3.   WO – Manufacturing

4.   WO – Material usage

5.   Plan – The quantities listed here are informative and do not affect the available stock.

6. Hard allocations – Does not directly affect the available stock, but shows the remaining amount for dispatch and allocations.

7. Available Serial Numbers
