
Check Available Stock for Order and Suggest Deliver-By Date
With a click on the Stock button of the lines taskbar in the sales order you can look for information on available stock of the item from the line currently selected. This function will check and return available stock for all items of a singular sales order. If the promised delivery deadline cannot be met, the function offers the earliest delivery deadline.
Check available stock for order and suggest deliver-by date is a function that runs automatically when an order is confirmed if set in administration panel | program parameters | Orders (Check Available Stock on Order Confirmation). The function can also be run from Wizards menu Check available stock for order and suggest deliver-by date. In both procedures a new window with criteria fields is opened. All criteria fields are entered automatically:

Order No. |
In the Order No. field is the number of the order for which the available stock check is run. |
Warehouse |
In the Warehouse field is the warehouse at which the program will look for actual stock to get available stock. The program by default fills in the warehouse from the sales orders.
- If you do not enter the warehouse, the program will look for total available stock on all warehouses.
- If you enter the warehouse, the program will return the available stock on the entered warehouse.

Deliver By |
In the Deliver By field the program fills in the delivery deadline from the header of the selected sales order. |
Fill Latest Delivery-By to Order Header |
If Deliver By field in the header of a sales order is blank, but is defined in the sales order line, you can fill the blank field with the latest delivery date from individual sales order lines, provided the Fill Latest Delivery-By to Order Header option is checked. |
Include Only Valid Orders |
- Checked - If the Include Only Valid Orders box is checked the program will take into account only valid orders.
- Not checked - If the Include Only Valid Orders box is not checked the program will take into account all orders (valid and not valid). This option is set by default.

Use Actual Stock |
If the Include Use Actual Stock box is checked the program will take and respect the actual stock. |
2. Lines
To continue with the procedure click on the Run button. The program will return a panel for the overview and for changing collected data:

Line |
In the Line column the program fills in the number of the line from the sales order. |
Item |
In the Item column the program fills in item ID from the sales order. |
Quantity |
In the Quantity column the program fills in the ordered quantity from the sales order. |
Stock |
In the Stock column the program fills in the available stock for the appropriate item on the selected warehouse (if entered on the criteria panel) or on all warehouses (if the warehouse was not defined). Available stock is calculated in the total quantity, regardless to the expected delivery deadline (as in overview of available stock ). |
OK |
The OK column is checked if the present available stock is enough to realize the order. |
Deliver by |
In the Deliver By column the program fills in the delivery deadline from the sales order line. |
Suggested Deliver-By |
For the Suggested Deliver-By column the program calculated the suggested date according to the quantity of available stock for the anticipated delivery deadline. Data can be changed manually! |
If you continue the procedure with a click on the Continue button, the program will in the following of the procedure enter the here obtained possible delivery deadline in the sales order line.
After the procedure was completed, the program will report a message (see Operation complete!).
If you do not want to use the obtained suggested delivery deadline for the sales order, click on the Cancel button and program will close the window.
If you want to report data from the above panel, click on the Report button
