Create New Sale Action

This chapter explains how to create a new sales promotion within the Loyalty Cards sub-module. For more information about loyalty cards, see the chapter Loyalty cards.
POS enables the issuing of loyalty cards. The actions created within the loyalty program can be limited to certain dates, days of the week, customer groups (e.g. students, pensioners, etc.) and special discounts in case of higher purchase values can be added. On the price list, you can specify individual items, item classifications and item types.

Case summary
The person responsible for Retail, Roger Retail, wants to create a new sales action for the items TABLE and CHAIR.  He will create two actions on the Actions panel. This is done as follows:
  1. Creating a New Sales Action
  2. Sales Action Overview

1. Creating a New Sales Action

In the menu, person responsible first selects Settings | Program | Loyalty Cards  | Actions.

The person responsible clicks the Insert record button in the taskbar.
This creates a new record and empties all the fields into which the desired data is then entered.

The Loyalty action panel has multiple input panels and the person responsible enters data on this
panel, as shown in the image below. The step-by-step process is described below.

  1. In the Action field, the person responsible inserts the name of the action. In this case, "Weekly Extra Savings".
  2. The person responsible selects a Card Type from the dropdown list. In this case, Loyalty Loyalty.
  3. On the Action Duration panel, the person responsible defines a period during which the created promotion will be in effect, specifying the start and end dates. In this case: Date From: 7.11.2023 and Date To: 14.11.2023.
  4. From the drop-down list on the Warehouse panel, the person responsible selects the warehouse to which this sales promotion is being assigned. In this case, the person responsible selects the Repair Warehouse and all days of the week.
  5. During the sales promotion, you can always select items that will be part of the promotion, set their prices, and add a rebate to each of the items. The items can also be categorized on the Classification tab. In this case, two items have been added: CHAIR and TABLE.

For more information about the process of creating loyalty cards, see the chapter Add new loyalty card.

This completes the process of creating a sales action and can now be found in Actions.

2. Sales Action Overview

After creating a sales promotion, the person responsible person wants to overview the new sales action. The person responsible can do this by selecting the menu Settings | Program | Loyalty Cards | Loyalty Cards, and clicking the tab Actions, as shown in the image below.

Here, the person responsible can see all promotions, including the one that has just been created.
