To manage manufacturing and services use work orders in PANTHEON. By using them you can monitor work carried out by a specific division. Work orders can also be opened from sales orders, and a certain division will carry out and monitor this work order. They allow you to manage all items with the status of own product or compound service for which there exists a specification.
Let us take a look at two typical examples of monitoring work orders and deal with individual functions in detail in the follow up. Let us say there are two companies: one is manufacturing computers and the other performs car servicing. Their typical products are:

There exist some similarities, regardless of differences in the nature of their work. Both companies use work orders in order to monitor work processing. That is, the computer company uses work order in constructing computers, and on the other hand, the car service uses work order in servicing.
Yet both companies use specification as a kind of "recipe" of how components are used in providing the complete service. A department will execute the work order concerned and enter required quantities according to the specification.
Materials, semi-finished products and services with different tax types and tax rates appear in both specifications. There is a difference regarding the nature of the their work. According to this tax in manufacturing is charged for the value of compound item. As far as service is concerned the value of tax is calculated as the sum of lines related to the item.
