Finance

In the Finance panel you can plan finances (enter financial plan data). First you enter optional plan lines in the upper (main) table. And later you can open the detailed (bottom) table where you enter any additional detailed data by clicking any cell in the above table.

Table of contents

  1. Main Table
  2. Formula
  3. Detailed Table

1. Main Table

Line It displays the consecutive line number. It is assigned automatically by 10s, which makes subsequent line inserting easier. You can also change it manually.
No. By clicking the 019291.gif icon a note opens where you can enter any given text, relating to the line of the main table. If this 019292.gif icon is used it means that the note was entered.
Line name Here you can enter any given name of the line describing it. If formulas are created automatically, software will offer applicable name for this line (e.g. name of account). If you would like to use different name, you can always change it.
Formula It is obligatory for you to enter the formula for the planning line.

In line formulas for planning (similar as in financial reports) you refer directly to general ledger accounts.

Create formulas manually or automatically by selecting the accounts using the tool for creating formulas. If formulas are created automatically, you can at a later stage change them in any way you want.

Create or change formulas by selecting the appropriate account, account transaction or account balance and mark whether the data hold good only for this account or for the entire child accounts group (Include Sub-Accounts  - in this case put the "%" percent sign in the formula).

  • D – debit transactions to the account in the given period
  • K – credit transactions to the account in the given period
  • S – account balance in the given period
  • P - Credit – Debit (credit balance in the given period)
  • O – Debit – Credit (debit balance in the given period)
  • A - Line

You can enter and subsequently change formulas in the Formula window (under the main table) as well as check them by calling up a tool using the Test Formula 021078.gif button.

The following examples would be the correct formula entries:

#S1200# = balance of account 1200 in the given period (absolute balance)

#D12%# = debit transactions to accounts of group 12 in the given period

#K0%# = credit transactions of accounts of group 0 in the given period

#O02%# = debit – credit on accounts of group 02 in the given period (debit balance)

#P90%# = credit – debit accounts of group 90 in the given period (credit balance)

#A10#+#A30# - sum of lines 10 and 30

(plan periods) By clicking the plan period cells you open the detailed (bottom) table where you can enter planning data. These cells represent the total value or quantity exclusively.

You can export the main table to Excel simply by clicking the  button. The MS Excel is opened automatically (if installed on the computer). The current scope of the main table is also loaded to the Excel worksheet.

2. Formula

Enter and change formulas in the Formula window (that can be found under the main table) for the lines you selected.

Check if the formula is correct  by calling up a tool using this 021078.gif button.

3. Detailed Table

Note By clicking the 019291.gif icon a note opens where you can enter any text, relating to the detailed planning line. This 019292.gif icon means that the note is entered.
Value Here you enter the planned value.
Currency Select the currency in which the entered value was made. If you checked the Planning in Primary Currency Only checkbox in the General panel, the field is hidden.
Subject Here is displayed the subject for which you create a sales plan that can be found in the Subjects register. It is not obligatory to enter this information. If you checked the 38211.gifCopy Subject checkbox in the General panel, the subject is offered automatically
Cost Center You can plan payroll also on the level of cost center. It is not obligatory to enter this data..
Deptartment You can also create a sales plan on the level of a specific department. It is not obligatory to enter this data. If you checked the 38212.gifCopy Department checkbox in the General panel, a department is offered automatically.
Account You can also plan your financials by individual account. Individual account is not connected with formula in the upper grid and will stand as individual position in analysis.

General form contains three additional functionalities in Wizard:
  • Create formulas where you can create formulas for financial planning in column Formula in main grid.

  • Plan generator where you automatically plan on the basis of previously used data.

  • Import financial report lines with formulas which enables you to import financial reports with formulas.

  • Paste from Excel which enables you to paste (import) data to main grid from Excel file.

  • Paste from Excel into Details which enables you to paste (import) data to details grid from Excel file.
