Fixed Asset Groups

The Fixed Assets Groups register is used to create and manage new groups of Fixed Assets, Small Tools and Fixed Assets in Acquisition, based on shared characteristics. These groups can be organized according to any chosen category, such as buildings, land, vehicles, equipment, and more, allowing for easier classification, Reporting, asset management and Automatic Posting.

The Fixed Assets Groups register can be accessed from the Header in the Fixed Assets, Small Tools and Register - Fixed Assets in Acquisition registers.

Hint

Examples of how to use the Fixed Asset Groups register are described on the corresponding pages of the User Manual for PANTHEON.

The register is divided into the following sections:

Table of contents

  1. Toolbar
  2. Central Form

1. Toolbar

The Toolbar is located at the top of every PANTHEON form and provides access to various features, as described in the Toolbar chapter. A function specific to Fixed Asset Locations is the 01D - Fixed Asset Groups report, which can be accessed by clicking the  (Reports) button.

2. Central Form

In the Central Form, new entries can be created for the Fixed Asset Groups register. This allows for the organization of fixed assets into meaningful categories such as buildings, land, vehicles, equipment, or other. By creating and assigning groups, fixed assets can be more easily tracked, filtered, and analyzed within Reports.

ID

A 16-character alphanumeric identifier assigned to the Fixed Asset Group, which serves as the primary reference for the group.

This unique ID appears in the Group field in the Header, helping to differentiate between different fixed asset groups.

Name A descriptive Name for the group, up to 40 characters in length. This field is used to assign a clear label that defines the group’s purpose or category, such as warehouse equipment, electric vehicle, or other.
