1. Payroll Preparation Parameters
The following fields and button are made available in Formula Builder after selecting specific variables under Payroll preparation.

Field description:
Earnings Type |
Enter or select an earnings type for payroll. |
Variable |
Enter or select a variable to reference fields for payroll. The following are available:
- Hours
- Standardized Hours
- Value (gross value)
- Factor
- Net
- Base
- Credit
- Employee Contributions
- Employer Contributions
- Days
- Amount

- U - Hours
- R - Standardized Hours
- V - Value (gross value)

Interval |
Select to repeate the formula calculation for all the pay slips. When selected, the Pay Slip is greyed out. |
Period |
Check and choose the period. If current period should be used, select 00, previous month 01, etc. |

Choose the Pay Slip number. |

To include variable in the formula click the Use in Formula or the Use button above. |

WARNING
When selecting variables, the Field lookup becomes inactive and is greyed out. On the other hand, when selecting values in the Field lookup, the Variable field becomes inactive and is greyed out.
That is, you cannot set both fields.

2. Payroll Preparation Variables

This format is used for referencing field in payroll: . XXX - earnings type . XXXXXXXXXX - the field which you reference (Hours, Value, Factor,,..) ad I). Enter an earnings type ID from where you will retrieve data about calculation base (e.g. RDC, DOP,…) ad II). Enter an ID from the selected pay slip . You can use an abbreviated form for field or (in bold type see follow-up) or its full name.

- PD - Employee Contributions
- PP - Employer Contributions

You can reference for example the value field by entering VZXXX, VZXXX-Value or VZXXX-V in formula (e.g. reference the gross amount of RDC earnings type ny entering VZRDC, VZRDC-Value or VZRDC-V). |

3. Values of Variables
a) in Payroll Preparation
Enter corresponding values of variables from Payroll preparation in specific payroll preparation form which can be accessed in Personnel | Payroll l Payroll Preparation.
b) Variable Razred

To enter value in the Factor field, open Settings l Personnel l Payroll l Salary Grades. Reference value in Factor field using variable #Razred#.
c) Variable Dnevnica
Enter value in the Amount field in Personnel | Travel Management | Trips | Trip | Travel. To reference the corresponding value use variable #Dnevnica#. It returns the amount of daily allowances from trip form.
The variable Dnevnica is tied to the Employee's position not only to the Payroll period. This is important for salary calculation because, the employee may switch the position multiple times during the Payroll period.
