Proxy

The Proxy tab shows the settings for a Proxy server. This tab is only relevant for users with a Proxy server.
The tab can be accessed from the menu Settings | Program | Administration Panel by clicking the panel Settings | Internet and then the tab Proxy.

HINT
The labels in brackets next to the settings fields indicate the level on which setting applies:
- (c) – Company-level setting.
- (u) – User-level setting.
- (m) – Workstation-level setting.

HTTP (u)

Enter the name of the HTTP proxy server.

FTP (u)
|
Enter the name of the FTP proxy server.
|
User name (u)
|
Enter the login for accessing the proxy server.
Depending on the provider, enter your username or email address.

Password (u)
|
Enter the password linked to your username.
|

Activate the radio button to define the type of proxy server:
- HTTP – Hypertext Transfer Protocol is the protocol used to load websites.
- FTP - File Transfer Protocol is a protocol used to transfer files.

Proxy

Enter the name of the proxy server.
This value must be numeric!
|
Port from
|
Enter the first port number in the proxy port range.
This value must be numeric!
|
Port to
|
Enter the last number in the proxy port range.
This value must be numeric!
|
Timeout
|
Enter a timeout specifying how many seconds PANTHEON should test the connection before it stops testing.
This value must be numeric!
|
Autodetect proxy settings
|
The program searches for proxy settings and returns the corresponding information: {0}: Proxy at port '{1}'... When the search is finished, a message is displayed: Detection complete.
If any of the above values (Port from, Port to, Timeout) are NOT numeric, the proxy settings search fails and the program displays the following error message: The port range and timeout are not specified or are not integers.

Enter the path to the web page containing internal regulations. Users can access this page from the toolbar Help menu.

WARNING
When using a proxy server, you need to the use HTTP transfer mode, because FTP transfer does not work in combination with proxy servers.
