Do the following to reference variable from Subjects #Subj01# in formula in Earnings Types.

    1. Specifying Variables in the Custom Fields Panel in Administration Panel

First check whether filelds are specified in the Custom Fields l Variables panel which can be accessed in Settings l Programl Administration Panel l Settings l Program Parameters l Subjects.

    2. Selecting a Department in Employee Files

Set a department where the employee is employed (e.g. Sales) in Position /SalarySalary Parameters in Employee Files, which is recorded in Subjects.

    3. Entering Values in the Subjects Register

Enter value e.g. 2 in Subj 01 field for subject (e.g. Sales) you selected for department in Salary Parameters.

    4. Entering Variable #Subj01#

Use formula builder in Earnings Types to create a formula where you reference the variable from the Subjects register (e.g. Sales) #Subj01#.

    5. Payroll Preparation

Preparing payroll the variable from Subjects will be used for subjects set in Department column in Payroll Preparation or Earnings Types.
