The restore function enables you to delete data from depreciaton report out of fixed asset status panel and so restore the fixed asset register to the status prior to the report approval or rather prior to the date of approval. That is why you always restore reports in the following order as they have been entered (first for the year 2003, then 2002, and then 2001, and so on).

Firs you are demanded to confirm (see Do you really want to restore to the status prior to this report?). By clicking the 020300.jpg button you can launch the procedure of restoring. 

After a successful restoring a message is returned (see Restoring to the old status completed!).

 

The option is very useful in case the report has been approved and tus closed too quickly and the data are incorrect or there has come to certain changes.

It is not allowed to restore, if the report has already been posted.

In such a case an error is returned (see Report has already been posted to journal entry (XXX)! It is not possible to restore it!). First you have to delete the journal entry only then can you restore the report.
