Specification

Specifications

010383.gif

Use this panel for specifying default values of specification lines. It offers three tabs:

  • Materials
  • Operations
  • User-Defined Fields

Set default specification values in Administration Panel (Settings | Program Parameters | Manufacturing | Specifications | General) , more precisely in the Materials | Spec Lines and Operations | Spec Lines boxes. The values are then used in following types:

Enter values in lines of specification. This way you overwrite those specified in the specification settings in Administration Panel.

Materials:

Here you can enter values of lines of material movements in specification. Enter the following:

Alternate for Sublevel  Enter or select active alternate for sublevel. It is used with item types P, C and U.
Quantity Displays nominal quantities in lines of specification. The quantity is expressed in primary unit of measurement used with the item and the set volume for "Batch" (Normally, it is set to "1" for batch assembly). Usually, it is the net nomial quantity required in assembly.
Volume Enter or select number of units ranging from 1 to 1,000,000 units for which the volume was set. That is, if you select 1,000 units, the volume is exrpessed for production of 1000 units.
Batch Enter number of units that represents a production batch (number of units of measurement, charge, the minimum required production amount - actual production amount must be the multiplier). The required production amount is given for batch (number) expressed in unit of measurement.
U/M Set a primary unit of measurement used with the item.
Scrap Qty Enter a quantity of scrap (in Scrap Qty) or a calculated approximate in case of expressing scrap in %) for batch in primary U/M used with item. Either enter it here or in field below where you can enter scrap as percentage value (%).
Srap % Likewise, enter (or calculate) percentage of scrap (in Scrap %) from the whole volume.
Scrap Enter or select a scrap ID for scrap returned to warehouse as a residue of manufacturing process and which will be later removed or used to some other effect.
Waste Enter quantity of waste (in Waste Qty) or a calculated approximation in case of expressing waste in %) for batch in primary U/M used with the item. Either enter it here or in field below where you can enter waste as percentage value (%).
Waste % Likewise, enter (or calculate) percentage of waste (in Waste %) from the whole volume.

Operations:

46620.gif

Here you can enter values of operations in lines of material movements in specification. Enter the following:

Tpr Enter production time required for assembly production.
Tsu Enter set-up time required for production of specified quantities expressed in the selected unit - assembly series. It is fixed production time for preparation of means of work in series production.
U/M Enter or select a time unit in which to express production time.
Batch Enter number of units that represents a production batch (number of units of measurement, charge, the minimum required production amount - actual production amount must be the multiplier). The required production amount is given for batch (number) expressed in unit of measurement.
Volume Enter or select number of units in assembly ranging from 1 to 1,000,000 units for which production time was set. That is, if you select 1,000 units, the production time is expressed for production of 1000 units.
(U/M) Enter or select a time unit in which to express production time. Select it according to the specification's settings.
Quantity Enter or select a time unit in which to express production time. Select it according to the specification's settings.
Volume Enter or select a time unit in which to express production time. Select it according to the specification's settings.
U/M Enter or select a time unit in which to express production time. Select it according to the specification's settings.
Operation Type Enter or select a type of operation: Work Operation which is intended for specifying regular operations; Fictional Operation which is intended for specifying any optional information regarding work and control operations; Control Operation which is intended for checking quality control of operation; External Operation which is intended for specifying operations that are outsourced to external subcontacting entities.
Offset Type Enter or select a type of offset (between the last operation and the one in question) in workflow sequence: Simultaneously to previous - an operation type defining the sequence between the previous and the operation in question; After previous has finished - an operation type carried out after the previous has finished; Time offset - an operation type carried out after you enter working hours in the field appearing after having selected this option. That is, the Tpr in the previous operation must be less or equal to the Tpr of the operation in question; Quantity Offset - Basically the same as with the "Time offset" option the only difference being that time offset per product quantity is considered for previous operation (offset = quantity × Tpr previous).
(Time Offset/quantity) An optional field appearing after having selected time or quantity offset type. Enter the appropriate amounts.
Resource Set production resource for operation. Enter or select an ID, type, name or parent resource ID.
Name (of Resource) Displays name of the selected resource.
No. of Jobs Optional field: In order to calculate production costs, select number of resources when executing an operation.
Salary Grade Optional field: In order to calculate production costs, select number of resources when executing an operation.
Bonus Optional field: In order to calculate production costs, select number of resources when executing an operation.

User-Defined Fields:

53176.gif

Set user-defined fields for lines of operations and material movements. Of course you first have to set them in the specification's program paramaters. Thus fields can be displayed optionally.

As can be observed below, you can set 4 user-defined alphanumeric fields, three user-defined numerical fields and one text field. Enter data in the appropriate format.

Specify any name for fields in specification parameters.
