Start with PANTHEON Farming

After the installation and before we start using PANTHEON Farming we need to insert some additional settings and information. These information are a prerequisite to use software:
 |
For some countries information can be imported from state registries. This is the case for Slovenia, where user can import information about farm, holdings and fields from eRKG. |
We can also insert some additional information and settings. These information are not prerequisite to use software but offer additional level of customization to our needs:
Farm information
In agriculture holding we have to insert information about our farm. Each database contains information about only one farm which means that each farm must have its own database. If one farm has multiple dislocated units, he can insert them in holdings, but all documents will be issued to original farm.
Breeds, crops, materials, tasks...
All of these categories are inserted in one place in items. To be able to filter items in individual functionality (e.g. breeds are not visible in crops) software uses different type of settings which we hate to set. This link will describe how to correctly set individual item.

To simplify data entry, some of the items can be imported from web service. |
Holdings
Each farm can have one or more holdings. Holdings are treated as dislocated units with own ID and location (different address). One holding can be the same as agricultural holding (farm). We can set this by selecting Farm is also a holding on agriculture holding settings. This function will create holding with same data as agriculture holding.
To add new animals on our location we first need to insert groups to holdings. Animals are not added directly to holdings, but to groups. Groups can be treated as barns, boxes in barns, batteries for egg producers, etc. One holding can have multiple groups, but one group can't be in multiple holdings. Level of distribution depends on our wishes. Deeper level of distribution we will have, more detailed analysis and reporting we will get but we will also have some more work with data recording.
Fields
Fields have to be inserted for crop, fruit and grape producers, to produce grass or for grazing. Each field has some detailed information, some required by different states or to use as filters. Most important setting is land use. This information will filter our fields through different modules (filed inserted as orchard won't be visible in crop production.
Similar as in holdings fields are also divided on smaller units. In PANTHEON Farming fields are divided on crop areas. One field can have multiple crop areas but one crop area can't be on multiple fields.
Fields and crop areas are also connected with map viewer. This enables us to view fields on map. To be able to use map viewer, each field must have information about graphics that can be added in different ways:
Cadastral parcels
Cellars and barrels
