Transfer is designated for transfer of item movements from one to the other ID. A window is opened in which you set between which items you transfer movements. It is useful in particular when you establish that you have two or more IDs open for the same item and you want to merge them into one ID and delete the rest.

Of course you are not able to delete the ID when still in the document of the database. That is why you first carry out data transfer.

For transferring data between items of the Items register select the following:

Item From From the dropdown list select the name of the item you want to transfer (remove).
Item to From the dropdown list select the name of the item to which you want to transfer records (the one that you want to keep).

If the ID does not exist in the register, an error is returned.

Transfer only when you click the Transfer button which launches data transfer from one ID to the other for which it is demanded to be confirmed (see the Do you really want to transfer data?). A message is returned when the procedure is successfully completed (see the Data transfer completed).

In case of duplicates existing in the register two options are offered among which you can select to keep the records as:

  • Keep existing
  • Overwrite

000001.gif Transfer of items between IDs is an irreversible process. After you have merged the data of two items, you cannot undo the process!
000001.gif Item transfer does not overwrite the ID of the item whose data you transferred. This has to be done manually in the register by clicking the 020232.jpg button in the taskbar.
000001.gif You cannot delete the item if any document is linked to it! An error is returned  displaying in which databases the item is located. Deleting cannot be undone!

000001.gif You have to assign corresponding authorizations (at least Write function) to users for using this function! If the user does not have adequate authorizations, an error is returned (see You do not have authorizations for this operation).
