PANTHEON desktop editing

The format or display type of the desktop can be customised by each user to suit their needs. The settings, selected in the program, remain saved until changes at the user level.
The following describes the options for editing the desktop in PANTHEON.
 |
CASE SUMMARY
Desktop customisation and navigation can be managed by the user, using the Desktop menu in the menu bar. To set the display of tasks, the way forms are displayed and how to navigate between them, the user has the following options:
- Task display
- Arranging windows
- Display of novelties in the program
- Display and managing tabs
|
1. Task display
When PANTHEON is run, a window with unread tasks is displayed for the user.

If the user does not want a display of tasks when the program starts, they can set this in the Administration panel, by selecting Settings | Program | Administration panel. In the Tasks section of Settings, the user disables the Show unread tasks on logon toggle button.

2. Arranging windows
If we have multiple windows or forms open, we can edit them all at once, using the menu bar functions in the Desktop menu.

To bring a particular open form to the forefront, the user selects it from the menu bar in the Desktop menu.

HINT
To make it easier to open and navigate between forms, we can create short cuts in the toolbar. You can read more about this in chapter Shortcuts to forms.
|
3. Display of new features in the program
By selecting Show Desktop from the menu bar in the Desktop menu, all open forms are hidden and new features are displayed.
 |
HINT
In the same way, new features in the program can be reopened if we have closed them beforehand. Read more about this in chapter What's new in the program?
|
4. Display and managing tabs
By selecting the option Show Tabs from the menu bar in the Desktop menu, the forms are not displayed as individual windows, but as individual tabs under the toolbar.

Right-clicking on any tab displays a practical menu with functions for managing the tabs.
