Pomoću tog koeficijenta možemo za pojedino osnovno sredstvo na osnovi podatka o minimalnoj stopi amortizacije, obračunati dodatnu (funkcionalnu) amortizaciju, koja se dodaje minimalnoj i ubrzanoj amortizaciji (ako je koeficijent pozitivan), odn. od nje se oduzima (ako je koeficijent negativan).
