Group import of files

Group import of files is a functionality that facilitates the import of files, reports for individual animals. With this wizard, we can import files for individual animals as well as for all animals on the list at once.

The functionality is located in the menu  Veterinary | Code lists | Code list of owners and animalsby clicking the button Wizards in the toolbar.

TIP

More detailed information about the functionality and field descriptions can be found in the technical manual chapter Group import of files.

Below, we will present an example of group file import.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EXAMPLE

In the veterinary clinic, the receptionist wants to perform a group import of animal photos into the PANTHEON VET program. The process is carried out with the following steps:

  1. Code list of owners and animals
  2. Group import of files
  3. Add documents

1.Code list of owners and animals

The responsible person wants to perform a group import of files from the local disk.

For this purpose, they select the menu Veterinary | Code lists | Code list of owners and animals.

The first entry in the code list opens.

They continue to select the wizard.

2. Group import of files

In the toolbar, they click the button  (Wizards).

Several options for functionality selection are displayed.

In our case, they select: Group import of files.

A window opens Add documents.

3. Add documents

In the field Set path they specify the location or path to the file from which they want to import images or other documents.

TIP

In the field Path to backup they can enter the path to the archive where already imported documents will be saved. Setting a path to backup is not mandatory.

In our case, they select as shown. In the lower part of the window, the data or positions of the files in the selected folder: Animals are filled in.

The field Classification is intended for determining the classification of the documents that will be imported.

tip

By double-clicking in the field Classification the Classification planopens.

In our case, they select the option: 93 - VETERINARY.

In the positions, they select the files they want to import into the program by checking the confirmation box (as shown in the image below).

For all positions in the column Animal ID they select the corresponding animal from the dropdown list so that the program can link the document to it.

In the field Document date they select the appropriate import date.

To import files, they click the button Transfer.

An information message appears: Done!

After importing files, in the column The file has already been imported the confirmation box is checked.

The window closes.

In the Code list of owners and animals the entry for the animal Simba under Documentation imports the document or image (as shown in the image below).
