Open WO for Repair

The form Open WO for Repair allows you to open work orders for products that are suitable for repair. You can choose from the items that are in stock in the designated repair warehouse, or choose any individual item. You can edit the data of the WO such as BOMs, materials, operations, etc., before creating the WO, as on the regular WO.
You can open the form in the menu Manufacturing | Work Orders, and then clicking the
(Create WO for Repair) button from the Shortcut buttons, by clicking the
(Wizards) button and choosing Create WO for Repair from the dropdown menu, or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + R.

Below is a description of the form’s features.

The header contains general data about the product for repair that will be on a created WO. This section has the following features:
Show all items
|
If checked, all items from the Items register can be chosen in the Product field.
The available stock of a chosen item from all warehouses can be seen in the Warehouse table.

Product
|
In this field, the item for repair can be chosen from the dropdown menu. If the Show all items checkbox is not checked, you can only choose items from the warehouse designated for repair.
By clicking the (Magnifier) button, you open Outstanding Repair Quantity, where you can check the open quantity of items for repair and select them for the WO.

Quantity
|
Enter the quantity of items for repair.
|
U/M
|
Displays the unit of measurement.
|
Department
|
Enter or select a manufacturing department from the dropdown menu.
|
Cost Center
|
Enter or select a cost center from the dropdown menu.
|
Alternate
|
Select an alternate item ID from the line of sales order. An active alternate is entered by default.
|
Document Type
|
Enter or select a document type for the WO.
|
Show Log
|
If checked, displays the log that created the WO.
|
Priority
|
Enter or select a level of priority. You can choose from:
- 1 – High priority
- 5 – Normal priority
- 10 – Low priority

WO Date
|
Enter the date of the WO creation. The current date is selected by default.

End Date
|
Enter or select an end date of production. It is recorded in the DATE HH:MM:SS format. If you leave the field empty, the current date is entered automatically.

Start Date
|
Enter or select a start date of production. It is recorded in the DATE HH:MM:SS format.
|
Warehouse
|
Shows the warehouse and the stock of the selected item.
|
Note
|
Enter any text as a note to the work order. The note will be displayed on the created WO.

BOM
|
An item’s BOM and its data is displayed in the table below and can be edited. You can read more about this in the chapter Manufacturing Specification.

Materials
|
An item’s materials and the data about the materials are displayed in the table below and can be edited. You can read more about this in the chapter Materials.

Operations
|
An item’s operations and the data of the operations are displayed in the table below and can be edited. You can read more about this in the chapter Operations.

Create
|
By clicking the button, you create the WO.
