Filtering Tasks by Different Criteria

To-Do is a list of tasks, which the users do during the day. We can see different data for each task: start date, end date, duration, who it is assigned to, priority, connected documents, etc.
Filters enable us to filter tasks by different data, which are defined on the task.
The list of tasks, which can be filtered, is available on the To-Do form, which can be accessed in the menu, by clicking Settings | Documentation | To-Do.

CASE SUMMARY
The Tecta company is carrying out a presentation of a new tent collection. In the sales department, they are collecting applications from business partners. The superior of sales acceleration, Sales Sally, was absent from work for a few days and now she is interested in how many presentations are scheduled until the end of the month, and who will be making them. She will check this by filtering the created tasks.
|
The person responsible for sales acceleration in the Tecta company wants to know how many tasks are scheduled for carrying out a presentation for the new tent collection for the period between 17.6.2024 and 30.6.2024, and who is planned to carry out the presentation.
For this purpose, the person responsible opens the To-Do form, where they filter the task list using filters.
In the Assigned to field, the person responsible deletes the entry, since they first want to check all entries, no matter who the tasks are assigned to.
Then, the person responsible enters the start date into the Date From field for filtering tasks: 17.6.2024. In the To field, the person responsible enters the end date of the period: 30.6.2024.
In the Title field, the person responsible enters the word that they expect will be entered into the task name, according to an arrangement with co-workers.
Since the person responsible does not know exactly what could be written next to the entered word, they add a special character: %. In this case they enter the search criteria: presentation%.

HINT
If you do not know the exact title of the task that you are looking for, you can use the % special character in your search. The character can stand for any other character, so during the search, the program will take into consideration that in addition to your entry, there may also be something else that follows.
|
The program is sistemically configured to show only the tasks of the user, who is logged into the program.
Because the person responsible wants the program to display all, not just their tasks, they check the Only my tasks (
) checkbox.
The person responsible triggers the task list filtering according to the criteria entered by clicking the Filter button.

The program filters the display of the task list according to the determined criteria.
In this case, there are three task entries for the selected period, whose title contains the word 'presentation', displayed to the person responsible.
On the task list, the person responsible can see who will carry out the presentation (the Assigned to field), when the presentation will take place ( the Due Date field), and which customer will attend the presentation (the Subject field).
