Creating A New Task Type

Tasks can be sorted into different groups, according to shared properties. They are called task types.
On a task type, we define which data will be entered and how it will be graphically displayed on the calendar. The feature allows for a faster searching of task managing.
Creating a new task type is done on the Task type form, which can be accessed on the Task form, by double-clicking into the Task type field.

CASE SUMMARY
In the Tecta company, Sales Sally is in charge of communication with bigger customers. With the intention of raising the sales of new items, a new catalogue has been prepared. It contains a special promotion where contract customers can come to the internal presentation and education about the items, which will improve the sales process with the sub-contractors.
For an easier overview and search of the list of tasks, Sally will create a new task type called Presentations, which will be used when creating tasks for the carrying out of the presentations.
This is done in the following manner:

The person responsible wants to create a new task type: Presentations. For this purpose, the person responsible opens the Task type register, i.e. Task type.
The person responsible clicks the
(Insert record) button in the toolbar.
A new task type ID is automatically created in the ID field, in this case: 000. The checkbox Active, which determines that the ID will be active – in use, is checked automatically.
The person responsible enters the task name Presentations into the Name field
For the presentations, the approximate content plan lasts three hours, which is why the person responsible enters 180 into the Expected duration field.
In the Color field, the person responsible selects the desired color from the drop-down list of colour scales, which will be displayed for this task type in the calendar view.

Double-clicking into the Icon field will open the Icon select register, where the person responsible selects the desired icon from the list, by clicking on the icon and then the
(Save) button.

The person responsible enters the desired text that they want to display for that type of task, into the Task text field. Finally, they save everything that was entered on the form by clicking the
(Save) button.

Now, the person responsible can select the newly created task type Presentations in the Task type field on the Task form.
