Microsoft Management Studio – Download and Installation
This chapter presents how to download and install Microsoft Management Studio.
The user downloads the program package for Microsoft Management Studio installation from the following link: https://aka.ms/ssmsfullsetup.
After downloading, the user runs the install package SSMS-Setup-ENU.exe with full administration rights.
The user right-clicks and selects Run an Administrator.
The user confirms the User account control by clicking the Yes button.
Clicking the Install button confirms the installation.
The program starts installing to your work station.
The installation speed depends on the strength of the hardware on your work station.
When the program finishes installing, the user confirms the installation finish by clicking the Close button.

WARNING
After installing the Microsoft Management Studio, restarting the computer is recommended.

In the Start program menu, the user finds the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 18 and runs it.
The user waits for the Management Studio to run. The speed of opening the program depends on the strength of the hardware on your work station.

WARNING
For the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to run faster, you can go to the Internet options, the Advanced tab, and unmark:
- Check for publisher's certificate revocation
- Check for server certificate revocation
- Check for signatures on downloaded programs

The user fills in login data set when installing the Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Express or Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Express.
